While Sarah Palin stole the show (alright she was accepting the party's vice presidential so the show was her's) Rudy Guilinani reved up the crowd with his keynote address. He was on the attack which was a huge indicator that Sarah Palin would also be on the attack.
The crowd was so energetic and often yelled "Hit Him Harder" when Rudy was on the attack. Some of the most memorable lines of his speech were lines of attack like "His rise is remarkable in its own right - it's the kind of thing that could happen only in America." and ""change" is not a destination ... just as "hope" is not a strategy."
It was clear that Republicans rally most when they are on the attack. We know when Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin attacked the media, the crowd though the media has given Sen. Obama a 'free ride'. They really want to see people attack him and see him have to explain himself.
Rudy went up there and definitely showed he had support from the Republican party and a support of his said it was a shame that he was pro-choice in a pro-life party because he definitely has conservative ideals. During the primary season Guiliani seemed to be stuck being a social liberal and never got to show off his strength. Could we potentially be looking at the secretary of Homeland Secrurity...that was the buzz after last night.
