While watching the speech from the floor of the Xcel Center in St. Paul, I had the advantage of standing right in front of Cindy McCain and the Palin family. I was also standing right behind the Florida delegation...I mention this because between the delegates and the alternate delegates, the men were sitting in the second level allowing all the women of the delegation to have the floor seats. These women went wild...I dont actually think there is a real word that describes the action of these women.
This was a section where tears were flowing, smiles were so big people couldn't even try to wipe it off, and a real sense of you go girl attitude. I talked to one woman who talked about how exciting it was to see a young woman up there with her children.
Rudy Guilliani who addressed the crowd earlier shamed the media and others who questioned whether Sarah Palin can be Vice President and raise a family, and it was this point that woman from Florida was trying to make. Young women who govern and has a family are a rare comodity here in America.
To women in that convention room, Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air. What is your reaction to Sarah Palin? As a woman or a man how do you identify with Sarah Palin. What about Sarah Palin impresses you and what fell short ?
