I had the pleasure to watch the election returns from the Biltmore in Phoenix, AZ with many of McCain's loyal supporters. The moving part of watching the results from a concession victory party was to hear Senator McCain's call for unity speech.

While Sarah Palin stole the show (alright she was accepting the party's vice presidential so the show was her's) Rudy Guilinani reved up the crowd with his keynote address. He was on the attack which was a huge indicator that Sarah Palin would also be on the attack.

Yesterday when Senator McCain announced the RNC would be abbreviated, he asked us to "put on our American hat" and follow his commitment to "COUNTRY FIRST". Day one of the convention focused on this message as Cindy McCain and First Lady Laura Bush addressed the delegation.
